August Blog 2024
It’s the last month of winter here in the southern hemisphere and thus, the last of summer in the northern. Enjoy. The buds of spring in some aspects of the plant kingdom are already happening for us in the southern and the sun is warm when it’s out. But still, the cold is here with us for a while longer in the latter parts of winter, which I love.
I haven’t spoken about the foods we eat and keeping ourselves and homes clean from toxins for a while so I thought I would share my general thoughts with you. A top up of what we use that is life giving and sustaining not life taking. These are my thoughts through my own experience. And it is up to you to use your own discretion and know your body as to what you wish to utilise to keep yourself well and content.
The foods we eat nurture us and are our fuel, along with being in the sun and out in nature and drinking good water. It is a great thing to eat well and being conscious of what we bring into our homes to eat. It’s exciting to make a meal and enjoy it either, with family, friends or with self. It is worth searching out good food, fresh veggies and proteins of your choice. The flavour difference is usually always good when you taste what’s untainted and real.
I love coming home from my walk late in the day and I’m either wondering what I will make for and have for dinner or maybe I have some yummy leftovers that I can get into. Simple, tasty and healthy.
Reading the labels on any food we buy, as so many of us have been aware of for a very long time, to ensure we’re not putting poisons into our body. There are many great business’s that make a massive effort to put only the best into what they make, it is worth searching for them.
Being aware that the perfumes and body products we use can be filled with who knows what that can be causing all sorts of ailments. And just changing that out can make a huge difference to your health. What we use in and around our homes are also equally as important to be aware of. What’s poison and what’s not?
And what you choose to utilise to keep your homes and self in tip top shape is through your own research and what you notice from what you use over time. I use many reputable companies or small businesses to buy certain things from that I know are the eco-friendly. For example, I have used Young Living for well into the second decade and found them beyond measure in health, wellness and cleaning products. It’s through using therapeutic grade essential oils and their ability to cleanse and keep my home, my clients, family and myself in good shape.
Things are turning around as society, becomes more aware of the goodness that is the best for our wellbeing.
It’s a journey into what you discover of what maybe affecting you from the immediate environment or the larger one being in the community. It’s a huge topic and one that each of us can consider and make life better or not. Remembering we are programmed by all the advertising on TV etc and for many still believe and feel enticed to eat and use what is obviously poisonous that is spent on adds to entice.
And so, to shift over to what’s been tainted as ‘alternative’ can be thought of as plain weird, is for you, through personal experience as to the many benefits. Real or poison, it is our choice. What I believe in is eating real foods and using natural products to use on my body and clean with are what’s the best for me. I use loads of good Bi Carb soda to clean and it does a great job in many ways.
Minimising the toxins in our environment, so as, to alleviate the intensity and effect on us by turning off the Wi-Fi when you’re not using it and I always turn mine off at night for sure. I also have a ‘go dark’ bag that stops any wave form that’s toxic from entering my body. https://godarkbags.com As well as other benefits they offer.
I would also suggest that the dimming of the EMF swimming through home and on our body if you wear devices, assists with emotional stability to some extent. But please do your own research. I recommend https://orgoneffectsaustralia.com.au for other on person wearing and home protection. But there are many companies out there and having something that lasts a life time is a good option of you deem it reputable.
If none of what I say resonates then just let it go, its ok, life is about exploration and what suits you is up to you. Sometimes we use toxic things for years and then find many ailments come about because of it. It’s then learning what will support you on the road to health and stability. It’s another aspect to life lessons, we’re here to learn.
I feel that it’s a good thing to know what may be unsettling you in your life and do something about it. Being aware of our inner world, our feelings, our emotions and what changes as the things we do and bring into our life daily is important. It is up to us to learn about life and what it offers outside of the classrooms we were bought up in. Lean what you feel you weren’t taught.
I have kept a note of where it is good to buy plastic free, or materials in the kitchen that are not poisoned to use in your homes and Band-Aids etc that have no chemicals, and other household goods. And House of Health (HH) in the central Market or Norwood, have the majority of what I want. But there still maybe foods that are labelled healthy for some but cause allergies to another.
Every now and then, I will buy the Band-Aids and anything else I may require kitchen wise like dish clothes from this Little Eco Shop online is very good, it has a great range of things to choose from that maybe of interest https://littleecoshop.com.au. Some of these things are available locally, as in HH, as well but from time to time I have found it easier at the time to purchase online.
I love that Remedy Bliss and her sister, ‘The Culture Hood’, have been at the Adelaide Showgrounds Farmers Market every couple of weeks on a Sunday for a wee while now. I love the beet kavas that they sell, ‘it is a fermented tonic rich in probiotics, digestive enzymes and nutrients good for gut health’. I highly recommend their work as I have mentioned over the years. I haven’t gone to the Farmers Mkt, yet, to see them, but I buy their beet kavas from HH. I love the taste, and it is so good for us. They were there today the 4th Aug so they’ll be there again in a fortnight.
And when we make the effort to eat well and get out into nature, surround ourself with loving people or doing loving things for ourself then we feel good. Sometimes we will feel low, and then it is up to us, as to what thoughts we allow into our mind and what to do lift ourselves up. It is up to us to make the effort.
For your emotional health I offer several healing modalities for example the Crystal Light Bed or Reiki that are beneficial for feeling stable and on-going health and wellbeing. Along with the Art Therapy which is a truly powerful psychotherapy that aligns with our authenticity and spirituality, to be on your life path.
There are a few bookings available for either during the week or Saturday afternoon. Or the waiting list swaps itself out from time to time and spots become available. As is suggested, the right time always appropriates itself for you.
In feeling good you certainly learn to look after yourself and will do whatever it takes to maintain that.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Much kindness and gentleness for you
Love Angela
